BOOSTER WINNER’S HOOKER BERRY TAKES ON THE WORLD

The international stage is calling for one of Booster Winner’s greatest performers, with Hooker Berry set to represent France in the $1 million Grade 1 MGM Yonkers International Trot on September 12.

The nine-year-old son of Booster Winner will head to MGM Yonkers Raceway as France’s representative in a truly international field, bringing with him a career highlighted by victory in one of world trotting’s most prestigious races – the 2023 Prix d’Amerique at Vincennes in Paris.

A winner of approximately $2 million in career earnings, Hooker Berry has continued to compete at the highest level in France, racing exclusively in Group I and Group II company in recent seasons. His latest performance saw him finish third in the $165,000 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère at Enghien, making a strong first-over move to the lead.

His connections believe he is arriving at the International Trot in strong form following several comeback runs.

Hooker Berry will face a new challenge at Yonkers, with the French star accustomed to racing on the larger tracks of Europe and set to have his first experience on the half-mile MGM Yonkers Raceway circuit.

The final field brings together horses representing France, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Norway, Canada and the United States, with Hooker Berry carrying the French flag against some of the leading international trotters.

Should he prevail, Hooker Berry would become the first French winner of the Yonkers International Trot since Reve d’Udon in 1990.

For Booster Winner, it is another opportunity for his progeny to feature on one of world trotting’s biggest stages.

From winning the Prix d’Amerique in Paris to now representing France in New York, Hooker Berry continues to fly the flag for Booster Winner on the international stage.
