EYE-CATCHING BREAKTHROUGH
Could not help but be impressed by the breakthrough win of Yabby Dam Farms-bred Coltrane.
The lightly raced 5yo overcame an early mistake, which cost him substantial ground, to saluted in a maiden trot at Ballarat on Thursday night (March 19).
He was having only his 10th start and first for trainer Jess Tubbs after time in NSW.
Coltrane is the second winner out of group 1 winner Aldebaran Eve, which is also the dam of the ill-fated Jilliby Jetpack (3 wins).
