NZ Yearling Sales Wrap | YDF

Yabby Dam Farms have rewritten the Australasian yearling record books.

Our breeding arm achieved a new Australasian price for a yearling trotter with a Walner Ca-Egee Money Fra filly sold for a $NZ290,000 at the New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale in Christchurch on Wednesday, February 18.

NZ’s Stonewall was the successful bidder.

It gave YDF the top priced lots (trotter or pacer) at each of the 2026 NZB’s two sales.

Barry Purdon & Scott Phelan Racing Stables outlayed $NZ 220,000 for a Walner Ca-Destinee Jenilou Fra filly at Auckland’s Karaka sale on Monday, February 16.

YDF sold a third lot by Walner (also out of a French-bred mare in Hopeful Beauty) for $NZ150,000 at Karaka.

YDF put 14 lots through the two sales, the second year that it has had consignments at the NZ sales.
