Queensland-based Used To Me Fra has produced the quinella in one of the Sunshine State’s premier trotting features.
NZ-bred Taylad To Use led home Get Used To It in the $54,000 Somerset Farms Darrell Alexander Trotting Championship, 2674m, at Albion Park on Saturday, November 29.
Taylad To Use now boasts $152,000 in stakes with 12 career wins in Australia and NZ, making him the second richest earner of Used To Me’s progeny.
The one-two finish launched a big three day run for Used To Me.
Avant Guard provided him with another metropolitan winner at Melton on the same night, with the five-year-old’s 11th career success taking his earnings to the cusp of $100,000.
Lightly raced Used To Me 3yo filly Lady Manche opened her winning account at Maryborough on Monday, December 1, to keep the Used To Me run going.
Used To Me has had a career best 20 individual winners this season (from 27 starters), firmly entrenched in the top 10 trotting stallions in Australian this season.
Lady Manche is his 41st career winner.
