5yo Military Merit is a great example of that.

After launching his career in NSW as a 2yo, it took the gelding 38 starts to get his first win - that coming at Bendigo after 12 minor placing and a move to Victoria.

Now wins are coming much regularly for the Yabby Dam Farms-bred gelding.

Military Merit is now the winner of five races - four in South Australia, with three of those in his latest four visits to races.

He is one of two winners YDF bred out of Purplepeopleater, with Moreep the other winning offspring.
