The first Australian-bred son of Volstead to stand at stud, Enchauffour displayed exceptional ability from an early age despite a brief racing career. From just 15 starts he recorded five victories, highlighted by his impressive Group 2 Breeders Crown 2YO Colts & Geldings Final success. He also proved his class against the best of his generation with Group 1 placings in the Vicbred Super Series Final, Breeders Crown 3YO Colts & Geldings Final and Redwood Classic. His speed, toughness and consistency marked him as one of the standout young trotters of his crop before retiring to stud.
Enchauffour boasts an outstanding American-French pedigree. By leading sire Volstead, whose progeny include stars such as Keayang Zahara and Empire City, he is out of the French-bred mare Dream Island, a daughter of Sam Bourbon. His maternal family is among Europe's most distinguished, with second dam Island Dream a Group 1-winning millionaire and producer of elite international sire Infinitif, while the family also traces to Group-winning mare Bambina. Combining the proven Volstead sire line with one of France's strongest maternal families, Enchauffour offers breeders access to world-class bloodlines and the genetics to produce precocious, high-performing trotters.
