Concord Connie
Special ANZAC Day celebration at Flemington with the Yabby Dam Farms-bred and raced CONCORD CONNIE saluting by a decisive six lengths in the $150,000 THE LES CARLYON for 3yo fillies.
Trained by Charlotte Littlefield at Pakenham, Concord Connie now has back-to-back wins and a career record of two wins and a second in three starts.
“I’m really glad we got the name Concord in front of Connie because that was probably a little bit more impressive than I thought,” a jubilant Littlefield said.
“I just love this horse, she’s such a character, and for her to go and do that I think the sky’s the limit.
“I’m so excited to have a horse like her in the stable.”
From the winning Written Tycoon mare Tysonic, the filly was consigned by Yabby Dam Farms at the 2024 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
She is closely related to the Group 2-winning mare Abounding.
With a reserve on the filly of $60,000 the filly was passed in.
