A son of the legendary Ready Cash, Brillantissime was one of the outstanding performers of his generation, combining exceptional speed with remarkable consistency throughout his racing career. A four-time Group 1 winner, he captured the Grand Prix Continentale, Grand Prix d'Europa and Grand Prix Duomo, while also recording five Group 2 victories, including the Prix Emmanuel Margouty, Prix Kalmia, Prix Maurice de Gheest, Prix Paul Karle and Prix Gaston de Brunet. Earlier in his career he finished runner-up in both the Critérium des 3 Ans and Prix Albert Viel, underlining his class against Europe's elite. Brillantissime is out of the outstanding producer Ivre de Victoire, whose family has consistently produced elite performers, including stakes-winning siblings Urgentissime and Elegantissime. His second dam, April Pearl, established one of France's most influential maternal families, with descendants including the legendary Bold Eagle and numerous Group performers. At stud, Brillantissime has quickly established himself as a proven international sire, producing more than 420 winners, 279 performers in 2:00 and 116 $100,000 earners, headed by Group 1 winners Hokkaido Jiel, Bedazzled Sox, Immortal Doc and Intuition. His first Australasian crop has also made an immediate impact, with both foals of racing age becoming winners, highlighted by Aldebaran Ada, winner of the Nutrien Sales Classic and a Group 1 placegetter.
