A brilliantly consistent performer, Winners Bet established himself among the elite trotters of North America with outstanding performances from two through to four years of age. As a two-year-old he captured both the elimination and final of the prestigious William Wellwood Memorial, along with a leg of the Kindergarten Series, while finishing runner-up in the International Stallion Stake and Champlain Stake. At three he added victories in the Stanley Dancer Memorial and Reynolds Memorial, together with runner-up finishes in both the elimination and final of the Canadian Trotting Classic. His greatest season came at four, when he won the US Breeders Crown, Caesars Trotting Classic, both preliminary legs and the final of the Graduate Series, and the Charlie Hill Memorial. Winners Bet retired with 15 wins from 33 starts, earning almost $1.5 million while establishing himself as one of the leading sons of the outstanding sire Walner.

By the exceptional young sire Walner, Winners Bet is out of the accomplished Donato Hanover mare Side Bet Hanover, herself a multiple stakes winner and producer of four winners from four foals to race. His maternal family traces to the outstanding producer Sounds Swell, whose descendants include Hambletonian winner and USTA Trotter of the Year Marion Marauder, together with numerous elite stakes performers across successive generations.
