A WORLD CHAMPION.
Foaled in Denmark, bred by a Frenchman, sired by an Italian stallion and developed in Europe, Ecurie D established himself as a premier trotter in Europe winning all seven of his starts in his first year at the track as a three-year-old. He came to North America in late 2021 and quickly made his presence felt winning his first official start, the Allerage, at The Red Mile in 1:50.4. Two weeks later he triumphed once again, this time at the Meadowlands in the $650,000 Breeders Crown final.
In May of 2022, in his first start of the year, he won the Cutler Memorial at the Meadowlands in 1:49.1 – a world record and the fastest mile ever trotted in May in harness racing history. Ecurie D became the first horse in 19 years to win back to back Breeders Crown Open Trot titles. He won by three lengths in a stakes record-equalling 1:51. He concluded his incredibly impressive career with a win in the TVG Open and was voted the Dan Patch Older Trotting Horse of the Year. His career summary reads 20-4-1 in 31 lifetime starts for $1,655,480 in earnings.
His oldest foals are yearlings in 2025.
